Southern Africa is a melting pot of cultures and are generally quite laid back on the clothing front. 

- For summer you will need to bring cool, light, comfortable clothing as the summer temperatures can get up into the early to mid 40’s in the more Northerly areas. Generally they will be in the late 20’s to mid 30’s. You will also need a rain coat and umbrella as thundershowers are common, a light jacket or wrap would be a good idea for the evenings. 

- Bring a hat, sun glasses and sunblock, the African sun can be fierce. 

- Walking shoes are a good idea all year round and if you are doing game viewing, neutral colours are appropriate. 

- Winter are generally mild with daytime temperatures in the 20’s however, it can get cold, especially in high lying areas where we sometimes experience snow. Cape Town has winter rainfall and so you will need raingear. 

- Remember to bring bathing suites. 

- Smart casual dress is usual for evenings at an upmarket restaurant. 

- If you are doing business in Southern Africa business attire is generally called for.
